The Aster Coat Rack was designed by Alessandro Dubini for Zanotta in the year 2010 and since taken on cult design status. Aster emerged out of the desire of creating a simple and functional object with fine and original silhouettes. The hall stand was awarded with the Good Design Award in 2010 for its exceptional appearance and the additional functionality.
Aster has a fine steel structure that looks as as if it was made out of rubber. The design is symmetric and the ends of the coat stand, which serve as feet below, are used as hoofs on its top. In a room, it appears as a sculptural element, that also serves as a utility. Crafted from a lacquered steel, it is extremely heavy duty with brand name plates on each arm retails for AUD $2050 brand new. Made in Italy
