1960s Venini Trilobi Murano Glass Sconces.
We have both a pair and a large single set of these beautiful and rare Venini glass wall sconces. Comprised of a two distinct styles of murano glass drops - one in a gold chartreuse and the other a textured icicle crystal. Placed alternatively on the chrome frame, the small sconces have 9 drops of glass each and the large single sconce has 16 arranged across two tiers. Truly so exquisite in any living space.
Beginning in the 1930s — and throughout the postwar years especially — Venini & Co. played a leading role in the revival of Italy’s high-end glass industry, pairing innovative modernist designers with the skilled artisans who created extraordinary chandeliers, sconces and other lighting in the centuries-old glass workshops on the Venetian island of Murano.
