Replacing numbers with rhythmically arranged geometric shapes, this wall clock’s name is a Japanese acronym that references the face: M for maru (circle), S for sankaku (triangle) and S for shikaku (square)丸、三角、四角。The M.S.S. Clock’s designer, Yohei Oki, discovered that when you combine geometric shapes, they begin to look like numbers. The elimination of seconds markers underscores the minimalist design of the face.
